The Israeli Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense have announced an award-winning competition for those who offer the best idea for combat in built-up areas – without risking the lives of soldiers.
Among the participants in the competition: an American company that has developed robots that know how to move inside an infrastructure and identify objects, and an Israeli company that has developed a helium balloon that flies and navigates independently – and can even talk to people through it.
